Livid...

I'm fuming mad and stressing! It's been a little over 18 months since my wedding, and I still don't have my wedding video! Yes, you read that right 18 months! Can you believe it? I can't. I've tried numerous times to contact my videographer through email and phone calls, but I've not received a thing. After doing some googling, I've found several other brides who are dealing with the same issue. I'm terribly worried that we won't receive anything at all from him including a refund, but that only sucks even more since our footage is worth way more than the dollar amount. Ugh, I really don't want to take any legal action and I don't want it to get dirty, but if I must, I must. I'll keep you guys updated on what we decide to do.

And if that wasn't bad enough, I ordered and received my cap, gown, and hood. Lovely, except I ordered my gown too big. Two people can fit into it! Oh, and all sales are final on graduate regalia. Great. I can either buy another, or suck it up and just wear it for a couple of hours. But on a happier note, my convocation ceremony is in two weeks. San Jose, here I come!

One of the things that always makes me happy to talk about is...Jacob! He's looking like a toddler more and more each day. He now has a third tooth. It popped up right around Easter. It's to the right of where his two front teeth should be. Other than that, Jacob tests his limits everyday of where he can go. Last week he realized he could go to the kitchen, and now he's found his own room. Oy vey, I am not looking forward to the walking thing. He's gonna be everywhere!

Jacob loves bath time in the sink!

Here, there...

Everywhere! I've been super busy these past few days. Saturday I went to Jasmine's winter guard championship show. They did really well, but they did not place. I'm still very proud! Oh, and then there was the McDonald's incident. I bit into a chicken sandwich and because the chicken was so hot the juices burned my face! Yes, my chin has a burn. Ugh. Sunday the weather was outrageous! It was practically 100 degrees...in the middle of April! We had a BBQ, and we came thisclose to going in the pool. Sunday night I went to see Britney Spears with Veronica! Thanks, Chema! It was fun. That girl really knows how to put on a show. She is a performer, but definitely not a vocalist. And thank goodness I didn't have to see her twice in a row. I mean, I'm grateful for having the opportunity to go twice, but once is enough.

And I'm still reading the Twilight series. I am now on the fourth book Breaking Dawn. It's been a little hard to get through, but I'm sure I'll finish within the next few days. And thanks to Jasmine, I've been watching Twilight on my ipod. It really relaxes me for bed, and she downloaded the soundtrack for me too.

Last and certainly not least, Jacob is everywhere, too! He's realized that he can go farther with his stomach crawl. He follows me and Jess now. I think it's time to child-proof! Uh-oh.

I have some pictures and video to share...

Easter & 8 months...

Happy *belated* Easter!!! I'm only a couple of days late. And Happy 8 months to Jacob! Our Easter was pretty fun and low key. We spent the afternoon at my sister's house like we do every year, and celebrated with close family. It was nice to sit, relax, and talk about a whole bunch of stuff. It was a really nice day, all around.

Jacob and his basket...

Jacob and his cousins...

Jacob had first dibs on the "hidden" eggs...

Jacob turned 8 months yesterday, but we won't have any stats until his 9 month Dr's appointment. He's becoming such a big boy more and more everyday. He's really good at the military crawl, and has not figured out how to get on all fours, yet. As soon as I put him down, he goes straight for his jumper.

Busted...

I've jumped on the Twilight bandwagon! I've read Twilight and saw the movie within three days. I think I may be slightly obsessed. I've already finished the second book and will probably start the third book by the end of the week. Jasmine can stop bugging me about it now. She'd been bugging me since Jacob was born, about 8 months, to read the book. I'm hooked!

I did it!

I'm done! I've completed and finished my Master's degree. I turned my portfolio in yesterday, and my advisor has informed me that I've passed! Woo hoo! It took 3 years, but that included an engagement, wedding, and the birth of my son.

I'd like to give a special shout out to Veronica, who is now my peer, for helping me on this journey. Thank you for your help with those late night calls and answering all of my dumb questions. Can't wait 'til my first conference!

Anywho, that means I'll be attending my school's convocation ceremony next month...

Go Spartans!!!

I'm so excited...

and I just can't hide it! The beginning of the year seemed to get off to a rough start, but I'm happy to report that I have a couple of fun things to look forward to.

* Almost finished! I'm almost done with my portfolio! Just some editing, and then I'll submit. So close.

* Road trip? I'm not 100% sure, but Jacob and I may go on a little road trip with my mom and my sister's family this week. Jess can't come 'cause he has to work, but I'm not sure I want to go. I'm kind of nervous about going a long distance. It'll be Jacob's first.

* Easter. It's next weekend! That means fun with the family.

* Britney Spears! I'm going to see Britney Spears in concert on April 19th. Thanks, Chema (aka Veronica)! And I may see Brit again on the 20th.

* Graduation! I'm going to be graduating from San Jose State on May 16th! Woo hoo! I'm going to get hooded! Another road trip up north.

* Summer! It's coming! That means food, fun, and swimming with Jacob. And his 1st birthday! OMG!

And just because...

Flashback Friday...

So, I've seen this done on other blogs, but I'm not sure if I'm going to do it every Friday. Maybe. We'll see. Anyway, exactly a year ago this week my entire family and I went to Puerto Rico for 11 days. The crazy bunch included my parents, my two older brothers, my sister, her husband, my niece and nephew, my husband Jess, and myself - a total of 10 people. Oh, and I was 20 weeks pregnant with Jacob at the time. And can I say, it was the most perfect time to travel in pregnancy. I was able to really enjoy myself. We stood in a nice house in the city of Dorado right on the north eastern coast just 30 minutes from San Juan. We try to get to PR at least every 2 to 3 years. We're already talking about going for the holidays or around Easter of 2010. I love it. My mom is PR and the majority of her family lives there with the exception of one aunt who lives in northern CA. My mom had 9 brothers and sisters, but over the years many have passed away. She now only has two brothers who are still alive and living on the island and the one sister here in CA. And of course we have cousins there, but we rarely see all of them. Anywho, now that it's been a year we've all been reminiscing about our time there, and we can't wait to go back.

The sound of baby laughter...

is the best sound in the world! It's so contagious too. A few weeks ago I was sweeping with a regular old broom, and Jacob just started laughing at me. He was laughing so much it started to make me laugh.
